The role focuses on developing and implementing a comprehensive governance framework for the responsible and ethical use of generative AI within DBS Bank’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive governance framework for the responsible and ethical use of generative AI (Gen‑AI) technologies within DBS Bank's operations and service offerings.
- Establish policies, guidelines, and control measures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to Gen‑AI deployment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including technology, risk, compliance, and business units—to identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with the use of Gen‑AI.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and advisory support to business leaders and project teams on the appropriate application of Gen‑AI, including considerations around AI literacy, prompt engineering, and model interpretability.
- Lead the development and implementation of training programs to enhance the AI literacy of DBS Bank employees, enabling them to make informed decisions and effectively leverage Gen‑AI capabilities.
- Monitor the evolving landscape of Gen‑AI technologies, regulations, and industry trends, and proactively recommend updates to the bank's governance framework to ensure ongoing alignment and effectiveness.
- Represent DBS Bank in industry forums, regulatory dialogues, and external collaborations to contribute to the development of best practices and standards for responsible Gen‑AI governance.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in computer science, data science, or a related technical field, with a strong understanding of AI/ML principles and applications.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on AI governance, risk management, or compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive governance frameworks for the responsible use of emerging technologies, including a deep understanding of AI literacy and prompt engineering concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and make data‑driven decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
