As a Building Maintenance Technician at Vanguard business unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our buildings and estates. Reporting to the Property Manager, you will perform a variety of technical tasks such as hands‑on repairs, routine safety checks and preventive maintenance, to keep the facilities at optimal condition. We are seeking a proactive team player with relevant experience in building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance and engineering support for building
  • To carry out scheduled building routine inspection on electrical, air-conditioning systems, HVAC, plumbing and landscaping.
  • Perform a variety of general building repairs, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and painting to restore the functionality of the property. Read and interpret technical diagrams, including electrical and plumbing drawings and site plans.
  • Reports and attend to building defects, equipment damage, system breakdown, security and safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) readings and monitor the performance of systems and equipment.
  • Documents facilities maintenance requirements: maintains appropriate records of work performed. Managing service logs, inspection reports, and inventory records.
  • Keeping track of tools, spare parts, and equipment.
  • Coordinating with contractors for major repairs if needed.
  • Assist in overseeing maintenance and servicing work conducted by external contractors, reporting any irregularities or concerns to the Property Manager.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor and management.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience in building maintenance.
  • Minimum NITEC in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of building, mechanical & electrical systems.
  • A valid Scissor Lift Operator License (highly preferred).
  • Basic computer skills for record‑keeping and reporting.
  • Able to communicate and interact with people and a good team player.
