Job summary

A leading telecommunications company in Singapore seeks a skilled technician to maintain hydraulic and diesel machinery, perform maintenance tasks, and supervise cable operations. The ideal candidate should have a GCE O/A Level or ITE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, possess knowledge of machinery, and enjoy hands-on, outdoor work. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential for success in this role. Occasional shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• GCE O/A Level or ITE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and diesel machineries is essential.
• Basic welding and metal work skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hydraulic and diesel machineries and cable tanks.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance such as oiling and greasing.
• Operate cable hauler during cable transfer operations.
• Supervise staff during rigging and cable transfer operations.

Knowledge of hydraulic and diesel machineries

Job description

Make an Impact by

• Maintain hydraulic, diesel machineries and cable tanks.
• Perform day to day maintenance activities such as oiling & greasing of machineries etc.
• Operate cable hauler during cable transfer operations.
• Lead or supervise other staff or laborer in the riggings or re-riggings for the cable transfer operations.
• Supervise cable coiling during cable transfer operations.
• Any other works as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Occasional shift work required.

Skills for Success

• At least GCE O/A Level or ITE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Training will be provided.
• Have knowledge of hydraulic and diesel machineries.
• Basic knowledge of welding and metal works.
• A team worker and possess good communications skills
• Enjoy hands-on manual and outdoor work/operations.
• Able to climb height and lift heavy objects.
