Job summary
A leading maritime company in Singapore is seeking a Marine Engineer to assist in overseeing the technical operations of a fleet of tankers. Candidates must have sea-going experience and at least 2 years of shore experience as a technical superintendent or fleet manager. This role requires organizational skills and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting. Certification as a Class 1 Engineer is essential. Willingness to travel on short notice is required.

- Assist the Senior Technical Manager in overseeing the technical operations of a fleet of tankers.
 - Manage daily maintenance and repair activities, budget survey schedules, and docking operations.
 - Ensure adherence to statutory requirements under ISM, ISPS, and MLC.

Role:
- Assist the Senior Technical Manager in overseeing the technical operations of a fleet of tankers.
 - Manage daily maintenance and repair activities, budget survey schedules, and docking operations.
 - Maintain updated records of class status and coordinate with Classification Societies, Suppliers, and Contractors for daily operations.
 - Ensure adherence to statutory requirements under ISM, ISPS, and MLC.
 - Monitor, coordinate, and attend vessel inspections by oil majors, statutory surveys, and follow up on related matters.
 - Conduct and report on incident/accident investigations.
 
Requirements:
- Sea-going experience as a Marine Engineer and atleast 2 years of shore experience as technical superintendent or fleet manager.
 - MOT Engineer Certification (Class 1).
 - Strong organizational skills with a hands-on approach to technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
 - Independent, resourceful, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
 - Willingness and ability to travel on short notice as needed.
