Job description

We are hiring a skilled person with experience in manufacturing, assembling, and testing commercial kitchen equipment, especially Chinese or locally produced models. This technician will be responsible for assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and quality control of cooking equipment such as woks, steamers, fryers, and gas/electric kitchen appliances used in restaurants and food service facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install commercial kitchen equipment according to technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Conduct functionality tests and quality checks on products before shipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty units during the manufacturing or pre-delivery phase.
  • Work with components such as burners, valves, thermostats, control panels, and gas/electric systems.
  • Interpret technical drawings, manuals, or schematics, including those written in Chinese (if applicable).
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering team to improve product performance.
  • Ensure all products meet local safety standards and international compliance if required.
  • Maintain tools, machines, and testing equipment in good working condition.
  • Document work in accordance with quality control systems (ISO, etc.).
⚙️ Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2–3 years experience as a technician in equipment manufacturing or electrical/mechanical assembly.
  • Strong understanding of Chinese/local food service equipment design and components.
  • Able to read technical documents, including Chinese language manuals (preferred).
  • Skilled in basic electrical work, gas fittings, metalwork, and mechanical assembly.
  • Experience with safety standards related to food-grade or commercial kitchen products.
  • Familiarity with testing procedures for gas pressure, heat levels, and electrical continuity.
Preferred Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Chinese kitchen equipment (e.g., wok burners, dim sum steamers, soup pots, induction units).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance for food equipment (e.g., CE, UL, local standards).
