Qualifications

  • Minimum NITEC / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical).
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Facilities Management.
  • Prior experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and tools usage.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a positive working attitude and be an excellent team player.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily routine inspections of areas to ensure operational readiness.
  • Coordinate with vendors for defects rectification works.
  • Execute preventive maintenance to prepare equipment for maintenance.
  • Respond to system breakdowns and resolve operational issues.
  • Perform in-house maintenance work including generator testing.
  • Maintain inventory for electrical, plumbing, painting, and tool items.
  • Monitor utilities consumption for the park.

Job description
Overview

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily routine inspections of front-of-house areas and back-of-house plantrooms to ensure all essential services are in an operational readiness state.
  • Liaise and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors for defects rectification works
  • Ensure execution of preventive / predictive maintenance to identify and prepare equipment for maintenance before breakdown.
  • Response to system breakdowns, attend to and resolve operational issues relating to lighting, fan, power, water, etc for safe environment for guests, staff and living collections.
  • Perform in-house maintenance work including no load testing of standby generators and quick fix of building repairs, painting and carpentry work.
  • Maintain proper inventory of store items for electrical, sanitary and plumbing, painting, carpentry, and hand tools.
  • Monitor utilities consumption and establish baseline consumption for the park.
  • Ensure safe working conditions through taking corrective actions to maintain equipment and process within safe operating limits.
  • Maintain records of all equipment lists for machines, pumps, aircon, fire protection, etc for the park.
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum NITEC / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical).
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Facilities Management in built environment.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and hand and powered tools.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a positive working attitude and is an excellent team player.
