CONTRACT POSITION
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
SINGAPOREANS/ PRs ONLY
( Salary – $5,000.00 - $6,5000.00 )

LOCATIONS: East

WORKING HOURS

  • Monday-Thursday - 8.30am to 5.45pm
  • Friday 8.30am to 5.15pm
  • Lunch hour (45mins) (Total – 42hours per week)
  • Service REQUIRED on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays depending on job schedule

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all technical and production operations across projects and departments.
  • Develop and implement scalable systems, processes, and SOPs that drive efficiency, consistency, and quality across the production lifecycle.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, resource planning, and logistics across AV, staging, and site production teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clear structure, performance accountability, and professional growth.
  • Partner with executive leadership to forecast operational capacity, resource planning, and long-term team development.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, production budgets, and procurement strategies to support cost-effective, high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to craft tailored AV solutions that exceed expectations and bring their vision to life.
  • Lead the planning, setup, and flawless execution of AV components for diverse and high-profile events.
  • Ensure project delivery meets timelines, quality benchmarks, safety protocols, and budget parameters.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, client services, and senior leadership teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in workflows, tools, technical standards, and best practices to maintain consistency and quality across all projects.
  • Build team capability through mentorship, training, and performance management.
  • Evaluate and introduce technology or process innovations that future-proof operations and enhance delivery standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest AV technology trends and innovations, constantly refining and expanding our offerings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Theatre, Production, Event Management preferred.
  • 3 to 4 years in technical production or live event operations, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing teams and department functions.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale live events and productions, including developing operational strategy, structure, and scalable workflows.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience overseeing large and diverse teams, with a focus on delegation, accountability, and team development. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse technical and operational teams.
  • Deep understanding of production risk, logistics planning, technical requirements, and Health & Safety frameworks.
  • High-level stakeholder management and commercial acumen to align operations with broaderbusiness goals.
  • Experience with budgetary oversight, supplier negotiations, and resource optimisation at scale.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and cross-functional levels, working with creative, client services, and C-suite leaders.
  • Strong technical knowledge across AV systems, staging, rigging, and logistics.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with both technical crews and executive stakeholders.
