Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is looking for a Technical Application Engineer to bridge the gap between complex technical products and customers. You'll engage with clients through pre-sales support and customization while developing training materials and conducting tests to ensure product reliability. This role requires strong engineering knowledge, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in English and Mandarin. Experience with CAD and programming languages like Python or C++ is beneficial.

Job Description:

A Technical Application Engineer acts as the crucial link between complex technical products/systems and customers, focusing on ensuring successful product integration, usage, and problem-solving through deep technical expertise, client support, customization, training, and collaboration with sales/engineering teams, essentially bridging the gap between what the product does and how a customer uses it to solve their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Provide pre-sales technical support, demonstrate product capabilities, help with technical aspects of proposals, and offer post-sales troubleshooting and support, often involving on-site visits.
• Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of product specifications, limitations, and functionalities to become a go-to expert.
• Customization & Integration: Work with clients and internal teams (R&D, engineering, sales) to tailor existing products or systems to meet specific customer requirements.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain user manuals, application notes, FAQs, and technical reports.
• Training & Enablement: Develop and deliver training for customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct tests to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Sales Support: Collaborate closely with sales to present technical solutions and win business.

Core Skills & Qualifications

• Strong technical background (Engineering degree often required).
