Job description
TuitionCentre Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and organised Teaching Assistant to support both academic delivery and daily centre operations. You will work closely with our teaching team to support lessons, manage classroom logistics, and assist with administrative tasks that ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Your contribution will directly support student learning and the overall effectiveness of the centre.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday: 1:00pm – 8:30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9:30am – 6:30pm
Weekly working hours: 41 hours
Weekly off: 1.5 days (Fixed on weekdays)

Responsibilities
  1. Teach English to students up to Local Primary 4 level (limited hours weekly).
  2. Assist in preparing teaching materials for upcoming lessons.
  3. Assist with invigilation duties during examinations and marking duties during assessment periods.
  4. Evaluate student performance through marking.
  5. Provide timely student feedback, assist with stayback sessions, review learning materials and maintain timely communication with students and parents to offer academic guidance and clarification.
  6. Collaborate with senior teachers to review current materials and research new teaching strategies, further exploring educational resources that meet the diverse needs of our students.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree, equivalent or higher.
  2. Knowledge of Mandarin and English essential for communication with all stakeholders.
  3. Basic IT knowledge preferred; ability to conduct online lessons using applications such as Tencent.
  4. Highly responsible, patient and passionate in communicating with all students and parents.
  5. Eager, capable, and earnest to learn.
  6. Weekend work required.
  7. Fluency in Chinese required to communicate with Chinese parents in their mother tongue.
Preferred Background
  1. Professional certificate related to education industry.
  2. Experience in Singapore primary and/or secondary education.
  3. Certificate, diploma or degree from a local polytechnic or university.
  4. Grade B or higher in O Level English and Grade A or higher in O Level Math or Science.
  5. IELTS score of 7.0 or higher.
  6. Capability to teach subjects other than English and Math.
  7. Open to Singaporeans, PR and foreigners.
