Job summary

We are seeking a senior regional tax lead based in Singapore to manage all tax and customs matters across multiple Asian markets — covering direct and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax planning and advisory, dispute resolution, and supporting strategic transactions and regional projects.

Responsibilities
  • Own regional tax and customs oversight for assigned jurisdictions, ensuring timely compliance and robust tax governance.
  • Design and maintain optimal legal-entity and intercompany structures to support business models, funding arrangements and cross-border activity.
  • Lead transfer pricing governance and ensurecompany transactions meet arm’s-length standards and local requirements.
  • Identify customs duty savings and lead engagements with authorities for rulings, exemptions and incentives.
  • Provide tax input for M&A, restructuring, international assignments and major commercial initiatives; assess permanent establishment and withholding tax implications.
  • Drive tax data integrity and automation initiatives, improving reporting efficiency and minimising manual exposure.
  • Coordinate tax controversy management, including preparing submissions, engaging with authorities and developing post-settlement remediation plans.
  • Prepare executive-level analyses, presentations and recommendations for senior stakeholders and the regional leadership team.
  • Support cross-functional projects, working closely with finance, legal, operations and IT to implement tax-conscious solutions.
Requirements
  • Degree in finance, accounting, law or equivalent; professional tax qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 12–15 years’ experience in international or regional tax roles, including time at a Big Four or major MNC environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge across corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and customs.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on cross-border transactions and resolving tax disputes with local authorities.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, present to senior management and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP/tax automation tools and a good understanding of tax data flows.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or energy sectors advantageous but not essential.
  • Based in Singapore with frequent regional engagement.
