Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive Design Transfer activities with strong DfX application.
• Act as SME for assigned systems and provide necessary training.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Suppliers for alignment.
• Conduct design and assembly reviews for manufacturing readiness.
• Embed LEAN principles to drive manufacturing cost efficiencies.
• Design and develop assembly/test jigs & fixtures for production.
• Ensure compliance with QMS documentation for design & manufacturing.

Job description

Contract: 1year
We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to support instrument industrialization and ensure seamless transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, design, and manufacturing, with direct impact on product scalability, assembly efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities

• Drive Design Transfer activities with strong Designfor Excellence (DfX) application
• Act as SME for assigned systems and provide training where necessary
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to ensure smooth alignment
• Conduct design and assembly reviews to ensure high yield, ease of assembly & manufacturing readiness
• Embed LEAN principles to drive manufacturing cost efficiencies
• Design & develop assembly/test jigs & fixtures to support production build
• Ensure full compliance with QMS documentation for design & manufacturing
• Support workflows to ensure future sustaining activities are considered early

Requirements

• 3+ years in a product development environment
• Familiarity with Design for Excellence methodologies
• Experience with tools such as DOORs / JAMA / SAP
• Preferably from a highly regulated environment (e.g., medical, aerospace, industrial)
• Preferably with Electromechanical system experience

Familiarity with either:
3D CAD (SolidWorks) or Electrical CAD (Altium Designer)
