The Company

A port operator is expanding the team and is looking for System Admin Engineers.

The Role

You will be responsible for the following as a System Admin Engineer:

• Configure and maintain the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
• Ensure data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
• Install and configure software, hardware and networks.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
• Upgrade, install, and configure application software and computer hardware.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support.
• Create and manage system permissions.
• Use ServiceNow to keep track of tasks.

Qualifications

• Operating Systems such as Solaris, Linux and Windows Servers.
• Hypervisor such as VMware, VxRail, Nutanix, Microsoft.
• Middleware such as OpenSSL & Apache.
• Other software components such as Microsoft's, IBM WebSphere and CA Siteminder.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
• Willing to travel to various data centres when required.
• Provide support after office hours.
