Job Purpose

You will be a strategic leader responsible in driving robust risk management and control processes across the Wealth Management business. You will lead a portfolio of operational, regulatory, and conduct risk management activities, ensuring the Wealth Management operational risk framework aligns with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role demands a proactive leader capable of identifying systemic risks, driving effective remediation strategies, and continuously enhancing governance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to uphold the highest standards of integrity and trust within the Wealth Management Operational Risk Management function.
  • Drive continuous process improvements within the team to strengthen controls, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the timely prioritization and delivery of tasks in alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to key regulatory requirements, including CRS, FATCA, and the US Persons regime, through effective implementation and oversight.
  • Manage and enhance regulatory reporting processes, ensuring data quality, timeliness, and accuracy of submissions through rigorous data validation, reconciliation, and robust internal controls.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with various teams to facilitate the accurate interpretation and effective implementation of laws and regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and provide expert advisory to ensure robust operational and regulatory risk management across Wealth Management.
  • Establish and implement strong governance processes to maintain high standards of staff conduct within Wealth Management, including the application of consequence management practices.
  • Promote a strong risk and control culture by developing and delivering training programs and facilitating the sharing of learnings and best practices.
  • Oversee middle office support for the External Asset Management and Business Introducer business.
Requirements
  • Background: Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in operational and regulatory risk management within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge and proven subject matter expertise in regulatory requirements such as CRS, FATCA, and the US Persons regime.
  • Proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to drive insights, solve complex problems, and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Positive attitude towards change, continuously seeking innovative and efficient ways to achieve objectives and challenge the status quo.
  • Strong interest in staying abreast of the latest regulations and emerging risk trends to maintain relevance in a dynamic financial landscape.
