Job summary

A leading supply chain management company in Singapore is looking for a professional to support the Aftersales Manager and Head of Supply Chain. The role involves managing procurement processes, conducting supplier audits, and ensuring alignment with project goals. Candidates should possess a diploma in Supply Chain or a related field, along with negotiation skills and proficiency in MS Excel. Relevant experience of 2-3 years is preferred. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Support Aftersales Manager, Project and Head of Supply Chain in managing the supply chain operation.
  • Conduct independent negotiations on the best possible price, commercial terms, and delivery time within the scope of defined decision-making authority for each project's purchasing orders.
  • Determine the lead time given by suppliers with the project schedule and discuss it with the project team on the timeline.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) to suppliers to purchase mechanical & electrical equipment, spare parts, and other project-related components.
  • Expedite and follow up with suppliers on order confirmation to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Project team to ensure alignment between procurement activities and overall project goals.
  • Other supply chain functions include updating timesheets for Project teams and month-end closing submissions.
  • Performing ad-hoc administrative tasks assigned by the project team.
  • Perform yearly suppliers’ audit
  • Responsible for assessing Supply Chain risks in projects and contingency planning
  • Arranging shipment for import and export with internal/external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Diploma in Supply Chain, Shipping, industrial operations, or relevant field will be desirable3

Experience or/and knowledge on the following will be highly advantageous:

  • Coordinate transportation consolidation with suppliers and logistics agents
  • Negotiation skills are highly advantageous
  • Basic understanding of industrial equipment
  • Good understanding of logistics term and processes
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, a strong analytical mindset; problem solving skills
  • Integrity; Strong people and communication skills
  • Strongly detail-oriented, able to manage complex workflows while maintaining accuracy and compliance
  • 2-3 years’ relevant experience may apply, and on-job training will be provided
