Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for supervising and controlling manpower and equipment resources to ensure efficient handling of both inbound and outbound cargo.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend to customer queries and assist to expedite cargo delivery for inbound and timely staging of outbound containers/ units to the appropriate flights
  • Ensure Irregularity Report cases are action upon
  • Alleviate bottlenecks for smooth flow of operations through active involvement on resource and contingency planning
  • Ensure availability of joining load for each dispatch and adhere to outbound timing parameters
  • Give clear instruction to Cargo Dispatch Unit (CDU) to expedite perishable, express and courier services cargo.
  • Closely monitors efficiency standard time parameters set for all freight as per Changi Airport Group (CAG) requirements
  • Ensure inbound delivery/ releasing docks area is clear of cargo after collection by customers/ agents
  • Inform Security to close the shutter door when there is no activity at the dock
  • Ensure Delivery Note (DN) and all related documentation is signed before allowing agents/ consignee to clear the cargo from the dock
  • Ensure releasing staff consistently perform physical verification of package prior to signing of DNs
  • Attend and participate in the weekly service review meeting and action all service issues and communicate to staff concern during the regular shift briefing
  • Prepare Daily Shift Report and reflect all exceptional cases that has occurred during duty including carry-over of pending critical tasks to the succeeding Supervisor on duty
  • Responsible in staff discipline and recognition
  • Review SOPs effectiveness with the Operations Executive and submit revision where necessary
  • Inculcate a safe work mindset to all staff. Stop unsafe acts or behavior on the spot
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head
