Job description

The incumbent of this position will be in the CEO’s office and will advise and work closely with other members of the Client’s leadership team. They will be tasked with leading and supporting strategic projects identified as priority initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to the CEO to design and lead strategies on priority initiatives that support the mission.
  • Collaborate with all the senior leadership team, including joining management meetings, to ensure efficient planning and delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as the CEO’s designee in his absence, at various meetings, conferences, and functions as needed and required.
  • Support the CEO in managing information exchange and effective coordination across teams.
  • Monitor and analyze trends, policies and key actions on topics related to the mission of the Organisation.
  • Manage on behalf of the CEO the Client’s Advisory Council – a group of senior representatives from non-corporate organizations that provide strategic counsel to the CEO.
  • Assist the CEO in preparation for key meetings such as the Executive Committee, Board, and Advisory Council.
  • Ensure that urgent enquiries and emerging issues are brought to the CEO’s attention.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred applicants have 10+ years of post-graduate experience and an advanced degree in international relations, environment, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Ability to deconstruct complex topics into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Have strong international experience, and a demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment.
