A global logistics company in Singapore is seeking a Global Account Manager with 5-7 years of experience in client management and sales. This role involves proposing and monitoring business plans, leading RFQ processes, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and operations teams. Successful candidates will demonstrate consultative selling skills, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in key software tools. A bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field is preferred, along with a collaborative mindset and willingness to travel.
Propose, monitor, and implement the agreed global business plan for each client to support ongoing growth.
Lead the RFQ and Tender process for your clients, working closely with different teams, regions, and products, and collaborating with partners when needed.
Maintain clear communication with clients and CWW operations to ensure everyone understands client expectations, operational solutions, timelines, costs, and results. Handle operational issues with the appropriate team.
Learn about the client’s structure and decision‑making process, and make sure our organisation works well within their system.
Hold regular review meetings with clients, introducing new ideas and ways to improve.
Organise strategy meetings with client executives and sponsors.
Build strong relationships within the client's team to better understand their needs and find new opportunities.
Create and share reports on account progress.
Keep sales activity updates visible in Vision.
Share industry knowledge within the team.
Work with colleagues to stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new market information.
A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related fields is preferred.
Candidates should have 5 to 7 years of experience in global account management, client management, sales, or consulting.
Experience with global service delivery and account implementations is a plus.
The role requires proven success in consultative selling and a track record of increasing client revenue and profitability.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, understand, and clearly communicate key product and value proposition knowledge across different contexts.
Strong ability to convey value propositions effectively, including to senior executives.
Proven skill in developing strategic vision, creating action plans, and setting goals.
Successful track record in innovative problem‑solving, decision‑making, project management, prioritisation, and planning.
Robust financial understanding and analytical skills to identify key drivers of profitability.
Effective negotiation skills, capable of handling objections and reaching mutually beneficial agreements, with experience in RFP negotiations.
Proven ability to proactively build and maintain a broad network internally and externally to successfully navigate client organisations.
Skilled in presenting complex ideas simply and convincingly to diverse audiences.
Highly collaborative, with success in working within matrixed teams.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Willing and able to travel frequently.
