Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 2–3 years of experience in steelwork QS or contract administration. The role involves preparing cost estimates, reviewing contracts, and managing budgets. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in QS or civil engineering, strong negotiation skills, and effective communication skills. Immediate availability is preferred. This position offers a variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to work closely with project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in steelwork QS or contract admin.
• Independent, detail-oriented, and good communication skills.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, MTOs, and tender proposals for steel/metal works.
• Review contracts, drawings, and specs; manage subcontracts and variations.
• Handle monthly claims, VOs, and final accounts; ensure timely payment and documentation.
• Track budgets, cost control, and cash flow; prepare reports for management.
• Liaise with project, engineering, and procurement teams; attend client meetings.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties.
