Job Description

We are seeking energy professionals to deliver innovative LNG and Green Fuels solutions to our clients. As part of an interconnected team, you will provide engineering and consultancy services to the energy sector from project development to front‑end engineering design (FEED). You will be involved in feasibility studies, conceptual design, technical due diligence, FEED, and basic engineering across LNG‑to‑Power projects in Asia. Lead the conceptual design for different LNG regasification terminals, including onshore, floating, and interconnection with power plants.

What You Should Have

Prospective candidates should have a strong background in process safety engineering, experience with LNG infrastructure, and a passion for advancing green fuels technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Safety & Risk Assessment
  • Develop and lead Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) using Safeti or Riskcurves for LNG, Hydrogen, and Ammonia facilities.
  • Conduct Fire & Explosion Risk Analysis (FERA), gas dispersion modeling, and cryogenic spill assessments.
  • Carry out PSV, flare radiation, and dispersion studies using Flarenet, Flaresim, and PHAST.
  • Develop Fire & Gas Detector Mapping Studies, fire zone layouts, and support firefighting system designs.
  • Conduct Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA) and Emergency System Survivability Studies (ESSA).
  • Execute CFD Modeling using tools like ANSYS FLUENT and FLACS.
  • Process Engineering & Safety Design
  • Lead and facilitate safety workshops, including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and LOPA, ensuring thorough risk identification and actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare and review PFDs and P&IDs, and ensure alignment with process safety standards.
  • Perform Single Point Failure Analysis, RAM studies, and ALARP assessments.
  • Support flaring system design and hydraulic calculations for relief, vent, and utility systems.
  • Carry out Ship Collision Impact Analysis for offshore infrastructure.
  • Green Fuels & Emerging Technologies
  • Evaluate and advise on safety integration in Green Hydrogen, Ammonia storage, and CCUS projects.
  • Review codes and standards related to hydrogen safety, low-carbon fuels, and emerging fuels handling.
  • Project Delivery & Client Engagement
  • Deliver high-quality reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional project teams across offices in Southeast Asia.
  • Provide input into feasibility studies, basic design, and FEED of energy infrastructure projects.
  • Guide junior team members and provide technical mentorship within the group.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • 10 to 12 years of hands‑on experience in Process Safety Engineering, with strong preference for candidates having prior experience in LNG regasification terminals and associated infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate safety workshops including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and LOPA, ensuring comprehensive risk identification and mitigation planning.
  • Proficiency in conducting Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) using Safeti and Riskcurves and performing FERA, gas dispersion, and cryogenic spill studies.
  • Skilled in using software tools such as Aspen HYSYS, PHAST, Safeti, Pipenet, and ANSYS Fluent.
  • Strong understanding of international design codes and safety standards (API, NFPA, ISO, IEC, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multi‑disciplinary interfaces, prioritize deliverables, and work in fast‑paced project environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Consulting firm experience is an advantage.
