General Summary

As a Qualcomm Quality Engineer, you will plan, implement, and manage compliance of design, development/manufacturing, production processes, and/or quality requirements with safety, quality, and regulatory standards for worldwide distribution. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to improve supplier quality.
  • Define supplier roadmaps (certification status, zero defects, etc.) and managing the roadmap.
  • Responsible for supplier audit, perform supplier rating in terms of quality and technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal procedures and policies (TTD, QAA, material compliance) and quality system.
  • Responsible for the quality of incoming materials within processes.
  • Manage supplier’s claim and follow up 8D report.
  • Establish SPC and Cpk monitoring at supplier.
  • Provide supplier assessments on quality to influence supplier selection and qualification for new materials/technology.
  • Joint ownership with TD team and sourcing team in new materials selection and to define the specification.
  • Select and qualify 2nd source suppliers with sourcing, technology development and engineering team.
  • Provide technical support and driving material quality issue with Suppliers.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering. Preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
  • Possess good statistics and materials analyses knowledge.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 internal auditor, and certified in IATF16949 or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Dynamic, resourceful and self-motivated, have strong communications and interpersonal skills, and a team player.
  • Able to travel 10-20%
