Job summary

A leading sourcing company in Singapore is looking for a professional to manage procurement activities. You will execute Category Strategies, negotiate prices, and oversee supplier relationships, especially focusing on electronic components. Candidates should have a degree in Supply Chain or Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant sourcing experience. Proficiency in Chinese for effective negotiations is essential. Immediate availability is preferred and willingness to work in Tampines is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Managing all procurement activities for direct and indirect materials and services for appointed regions
• Mitigating risk and mitigate market and supplier dynamics through development of Category Strategies
• Execution of Category Strategies with coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Collaborate with internal department in maintaining and enhancing quality standards of new suppliers and compatibility with our clients/production needs
• Ensures the smooth flow of goods & services and support of processes for the continuity of the business operations by liaising with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels.
• Provide regular market intelligence on latest trend of suppliers' and competitors, with effective communication to supervisors and user departments
• Responsible for price negotiation, delivery schedule, and distribution of incoming inventory
• Managing suppliers to meet objectives in the area of quality, delivery fulfilment and inventory control
• Maintain all procurement records and catalogues in the company's system
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor

Requirement

• Degree holder or diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering or other related discipline
• At least 5 years relevant sourcing experience for electronic components are highly preferred; Candidates with more experience will be considered for senior ranking position
• Extensive use of Chinese is required to effectively conduct negotiations and manage stakeholders with both internal and external parties based in China.
• Mature, responsible, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
• Business travel maybe required
• Proficient use in SAP is an advantage
• Willing to work in Tampines
• Immediate available is highly preferable
