Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to ensure high quality and reliability of critical enterprise systems operating in secure environments. The role will initially focus on comprehensive functional and regression testing with strong governance and documentation standards, and progressively transition into building scalable automation testing capabilities aligned with a cloud-first strategy and centralized automation framework.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Regression Testing (Primary Focus Initially)

• Design, execute, and maintain functional, system, and regression test cases aligned with quality and governance standards

• Translate business and technical requirements into structured test scenarios with full traceability

• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to clarify scope, acceptance criteria, and test objectives

• Prepare test data, manage environment dependencies, and capture detailed test evidence for compliance

• Log, track, and validate defects; work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution

• Communicate test progress, risks, and quality metrics effectively

• Produce comprehensive test documentation including test plans, designs, and summary reports

• Build reusable regression test assets to support future automation

Automation Testing (Progressive Responsibility)

• Design and develop modular automated test scripts for critical business processes

• Build and maintain scalable and maintainable automation frameworks

• Support migration to centralized and cloud-based automation environments

• Monitor automation coverage, stability, and execution results

• Establish automation best practices and reusable components

• Maintain clear documentation for automated testing processes and outcomes

Job Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in software testing with strong functional testing exposure

• Proven ability to design test cases from requirements and specifications

• Strong documentation and compliance-driven testing practices

• Experience with or readiness to adopt automation testing tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, Playwright)

• Working knowledge of SQL for test data validation

• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#)

• Experience in API testing methodologies

• Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps

• Ability to work effectively within secure or controlled IT environments

• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred (Advantageous) Qualifications

• Testing certifications (ISTQB Foundation, Test Automation Engineer, Tosca certifications)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing environments

• Understanding of performance testing concepts

• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)

• Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies

• Experience in regulated, public sector, or enterprise environments
