Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Software Application Support Professional. The role includes providing support, troubleshooting, and bug fixing for maintained Software Applications. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with experience in Java, PHP, and Python. This position is based in Changi Airport, requires a team player mindset, and candidates should be prepared for rotating standby shifts. Immediate availability is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide software application support, troubleshooting, and bug fixing.

  • Resolve incidents within contractual SLA requirements.
  • Document and track incidents with regular updates.
  • Coordinate system maintenance and upgrade activities.
  • Perform impact analysis on software deployments.

Job description
Responsibilities

Provide software

  • application support, troubleshooting and bug fixing related to the maintained Software Applications.
  • Involve in implementation of application enhancements as and when require.
  • Communicate with end users, customer’s IT team and support engineers from other application vendors to understand the production issues and advise them the solution.
  • Resolve the incidents and recover services within contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
  • Work with other member(s) of the support team and Service Delivery Manager to rectify the production issues.
  • Document and track incidents and provide regular progress updates.
  • Coordinate regular system maintenance and upgrade activities such as monthly maintenance, patching, hotfix testing and deployments.
  • Perform impact analysis and post-installation verification test on monthly OS patches/updates and Software patches deployments.
  • Update project documentation in accordance to company QMS processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 1 year of working experience in software application development.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, PHP, Python, APIs (RESTful and SOAP) and shell scripting.
  • Proficient in database management (SQL Server, MySQL and Microsoft Access), operational systems (LINUX and Windows Server), Application Servers (Apache Tomcat, WAMP and WebSphere)
  • Proven experience in application support and user query management (L1/L2).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to a zero-defect mindset.
  • Must be team player with fast learning skill.
  • Based in Changi Airport (5 day week 8:30am to 6pm) *Be on rotating standby
  • Able to start work immediate or on short notice will be advantageous
