Role

Great opportunity to join a growing and global team that is bringing new and high-quality data and rating services to investors, focusing on the estimation of climate risks’ financial materiality. Climate physical and transition risks will be taking an increasing part of investors’ portfolios and corporates’ balance sheets in the near future, creating a need for assessing and pricing them.

We are looking for a full-stack developer skilled in NextJs, React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript for front-end development, as well as Python for back-end development.

The role involves taking over a climate rating website, improving its existing features, and developing new functionality and contributing to its aesthetic and user experience (UX). You will be responsible for ensuring that the platform remains efficient, secure, and aligned with modern standards. Collaboration with teams to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end components using TypeScript, JavaScript, React.js and NextJs within our modern stack.
• Develop APIs for CRUD operations on a MongoDB database, using Python and FastAPI.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code using automated testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress.
• Work closely with DevOps for application deployment and maintenance on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features that align with business goals.
• Maintain and update WordPress-based content and pages, ensuring consistency with the broader product ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the full stack to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Translate business requirements into wireframes and mock UIs.
• Gather feedback from stakeholders and iterate on the UI design.
• Implement the UI in React.js using RESTful APIs for data.
• Meticulously test the software.
• Deployment of the release candidate software to production.
• Proactively monitor UI analytics and user feedback. Draw insights from the data to improve the UI.
• Provide assistance to users.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional coding experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of NextJs, React.js and its core principles.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (preferably TypeScript).
• Experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with WordPress would be advantageous.
• Ability to create basic mockups using tools such as Figma would be a plus.
• Ability to adapt and perform multiple roles.
• Strong work ethic and self-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
