Job Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and lead the implementation of complex, high-availability (HA), and scalable enterprise data storage solutions based on in-depth analysis of enterprise customer business and performance requirements.
- Serve as the technical consultant for Proof of Concept (POC) engagements, providing expert-level on-site and remote verification services.
- Perform advanced system integration and troubleshooting across multi-platform environments, including Unix/Linux OS, relational/NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), enterprise storage arrays, and network infrastructure (Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Firewalls).
- Manage and execute large-scale implementation projects, including system migration, performance tuning, and expansion of existing storage and compute infrastructure, involving both hardware and software layers.
- Develop automation scripts (e.g., Python, Shell) to streamline system deployment, configuration, and proactive monitoring across the enterprise environment.
- Create and maintain data storage and data protection architectural documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and detailed technical reports for complex projects.
- Contribute significantly to data storage and data protection project planning, risk assessment, and technical project management for major client initiatives, guiding junior engineers.
- Provide data storage and data protection training to relevant partners/vendors to keep them up-to-date with the latest professional knowledge.
- To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of specialized working experience in architecting and implementing enterprise storage and critical IT infrastructure solutions in a large-scale environment.
- Expert-level working knowledge of Enterprise Backup & Recovery, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and robust Disaster Recovery (DR) methodologies (e.g., RPO/RTO calculation).
- Familiarity with core Linux/Unix Server Administration (CentOS, RHEL, or similar) and shell scripting for automation.
- Understanding of Relational Database principles and administration basics (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) in the context of high-performance storage delivery.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and storage connectivity standards such as TCP/IP, iSCSI, Fibre Channel (FC), SMB, and NFS/CIFS, including performance diagnostics.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
