An organization focused on community support in Singapore is looking for a Social Work Associate to assist in planning and implementing programs that empower families and nurture children. The Social Work Associate plays a key role in supporting the delivery of programmes that empower families, nurture children, and build strong community ties.
You will work closely with colleagues, volunteers, and partners to ensure smooth and effective implementation of programmes, providing logistical, administrative, and engagement support. With a collaborative spirit and a heart for people, you will contribute to creating a warm and inclusive environment where families can thrive. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, relational, and committed to supporting community-based, evidence-informed initiatives that make a meaningful difference.
1.1.Support in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of assigned programmes.
1.2.Assist in the planning and running of key activities such as literacy assessments, family workshops, graduation etc.
1.3.Implement the planned activities under supervision.
1.4.Administer relevant evaluation tools as directed.
1.5.Support timely and accurate documentation in the programmes.
2.1.Assist in the recruitment and screening of volunteers to ensure suitability for the programme.
2.2.Engage, motivate and build rapport with volunteers to foster commitment and ownership.
2.3.Match volunteers appropriately to roles based on their strengths and availability.
2.4.Coordinate and support volunteers during sessions and events.
2.5.Maintain regular communication with volunteers and gather feedback to improve volunteer experience.
3.1.Oversee and coordinate logistical needs for programmes (e.g. venue booking, materials preparation, refreshments).
3.2.Track and monitor attendance of children, caregivers, and volunteers, highlighting any patterns or issues proactively.
3.3.Facilitate the use of a shared communication platform (e.g. Padlet, Trello, or similar) to support collaboration among staff, volunteers, and caregivers.
3.4.Provide logistical and on-site support for programme delivery, including child-minding during home visits or workshops when needed.
4.1.Develop and maintain programme collaterals for publicity and outreach (e.g. posters, social media content, flyers).
4.2.Support communication and outreach to the relevant parties in the interest of the programme.
5.1. Support as a liaison between programme and related partners, ensuring partnerships are aligned with the goals of the programmes.
5.2. Relate and work with partners and stakeholders in accordance with the value of the organisation.
5.3. Representing the needs of clients in working with partners when planning and implementing services.
5.4. Assist in identifying and supporting the documentation of stories of interest in the programme activities and work with KKCS partnerships liaison to update internal and external communication platforms where relevant.
