Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee large-scale ACMV projects. The role requires at least 15 years of experience in managing construction work, including air conditioning and ventilation systems. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and strong supervisory skills are preferred. The position is based in the Tuas area with company transport provided.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 to 25 years of relevant working experience.
  • Preferably with managerial experience managing a department.
  • Able to handle stress in a high-pressure environment.

Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Experience in managing construction work regarding ACMV inclusive of heat source equipment (chiller, etc), air conditioning equipment & ventilation equipment.
  • Experience in executing work on large project (Contract amount more than SGD 10 million) with 100 to 200 workers at peak period daily.
  • Works & coordinates closely with main contractor, clients, consultants on technical matters.
  • Provides guidance to engineers & supervisors in relation to site work.
  • Supervises & coordinates ACMV services work & works closely with other department staff to meet project timelines.
  • Manages procurement (the submission of materials, samples & work progress).
  • Manages the submission of method statements & work progress.
  • Ensures quality of work is achieved & safety regulations are compiled with.
  • Manages the submission of shop drawings & work progress.
  • Coordinates/discuss with suppliers to prepare the manufacture drawings.
  • Checks the manufacture drawings whether it is compiled as discussed with suppliers & whether it is compiled with contract (specification) & the comments given by the client, consultant & owner.
  • Attends meetings & discussions with main contractor.
  • To be the point of contact for giving & receiving instructions, documents, etc to & from client, customers.
Job Requirements
  • At least a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 15 to 25 years of relevant working experience.
  • Preferably with managerial experience managing a department before.
  • Must be willing to work in Tuas area. Company transport from MRT station will be provided.
  • Able to handle stress from main contractor.
