Project management: Overseeing all on-site activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Technical oversight: Checking designs for accuracy, providing technical guidance, and solving problems as they arise on site.
Supervision: Directing and supervising construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel.
Compliance: Ensuring all work complies with the project's specifications, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
Coordination: Liaising with clients, architects, project managers, and other professionals to ensure smooth project flow.
Material and resource management: Organizing and managing construction materials and equipment, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring quality control.
Reporting: Preparing site reports, logging progress, and completing necessary documentation.
Crew and project management: Supervise and guide paving crews, including training new employees, and oversee day-to-day operations.
Quality and safety: Ensure all work meets contract specifications and safety regulations.
This includes site safety enforcement, conducting daily toolbox talks, and ensuring the use of proper PPE.
Planning and scheduling: Plan and schedule projects, allocate resources, and manage timelines.
Quality control: Monitor and inspect work to ensure high-quality materials and workmanship.
Communication: Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to report progress and address issues.
Reporting and documentation: Prepare daily reports, maintain site records, and manage project-related documentation.
Equipment and inventory: Maintain equipment and manage the inventory of necessary materials and supplies.
Problem-solving: Evaluate and resolve on-site challenges and emergencies as they arise.
