A leading purveyor of specialty foods based in Singapore is seeking a logistics staff member to handle import and export documentation for various shipments. Responsibilities include liaising with freight forwarders, ensuring timely clearance, and monitoring shipping costs. The ideal candidate must have a diploma in Supply Chain or business administration, at least 1 year of experience in the F&B industry, and possess a Customs Competency Test for Declarants certificate. A positive attitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.

Handle various type of import, export documentation for shipments ranging from airfreight to sea freight to local transport delivery
Liaising with freight forwarders, transportation companies and coordinate with relevant internal parties including purchasing and warehousing to ensure timely clearance and arrival of cargoes to warehouse
Monitor and follow up on demurrage/detention issues on every shipment handled as well as review freight rates
Liaise with government agencies such as SFA on audit, inspection of food consignment
Liaise with insurance surveyor on cargo site survey
Check all shipping documents and maintain proper filing
Prepare month-end report, verify shipping tax invoices and carry out periodic review of shipping costs
Carry out ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by reporting manager
Diploma in Supply Chain or business administration
1 year of experience preferably in the F&B industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office and TradeNet
Meticulous, team player with positive working attitude to perform in a fast-paced environment
