A leading trading company in Singapore is seeking an individual to manage shipping operations and compliance. Responsibilities include coordinating contracts, overseeing chartering operations, and managing financial matters related to maritime activities. Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to support decision-making through operational data analysis. The role offers benefits such as a 13th-month salary and annual leave ranging from 15 to 21 days based on performance.
Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
The company is engaged in iron ore trading and has its headquarters in China. It operates its own fleet of vessels, mainly Capesize bulk carriers, for international shipping and logistics activities.
Your job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage all contracts in accordance with charter party agreements.
Coordinate shipping operations and ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards.
Oversee chartering operations for VC/COA/CVC/owned vessels.
Monitor vessels’ daily itineraries and provide timely updates.
Immediately report any irregularities or operational issues to the chartering supervisor.
Perform laytime calculation and freight differential calculation as instructed by the chartering supervisor.
Handle freight, demurrage, despatch, port disbursement, and other related financial matters.
Gather, verify, and analyze operational data to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
13th-month salary based on performance.
Annual leave entitlement: 15 to 21 days, depending on company policy.
