Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking candidates for a role focusing on operating and monitoring plant equipment in a chemical processing environment. Ideal candidates should have a diploma in Chemical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience. Key responsibilities include ensuring safe production, applying knowledge of EHS regulations, and recognizing unsafe conditions. Experience in polymerization is a plus. Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control plant equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Apply chemical plant operation knowledge to follow documented procedures (e.g. Standard operating procedure-SOP, EHS regulations, risk assessment).
• Carry out minor troubleshooting and have good knowledge to safely prepare equipment for maintenance
• Capable to recognize unsafe plant condition and promptly report any near miss / deviations / incidents to his supervisor.
• To demonstrate strong ownership, team spirit, challenge and sincerity.

Requirements

• Diploma or Nitec in Chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in a chemical processing environment. Experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is advantageous.
• Possess basic Knowledge of chemical processing with working knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO 45001, SS651.
• Able to work in shift environment.
