Qualifications

  • Good command of English both verbally and in writing.

  • Perform inspections and testing of Framo pumping systems on board vessels.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and repairs on Framo systems.
  • Participate in vessel dockings and commissioning work.

Overview

SERVICE ENGINEER

Background

Framo Singapore Pte Ltd was established in 1982 and is a subsidiary branch office of Framo AS, a Norwegian-based company and market leader in the manufacture of high-tech pumping systems for the chemical/product tanker market and the oil & gas industry. Framo AS is a part of the Alfa Laval concern.

Framo Singapore Pte Ltd deals with aftersales service, commissioning, repairs and inspections of these pumping systems as well as customer follow up and support.

Working place will be at our premises in Tuas.

Duties
  • Perform inspections and testing of Framo pumping systems on board vessels.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and repairs on Framo systems, both electrical and mechanical.
  • Assist with repairs & overhauls of various types of Framo equipment in our workshop.
  • Participate in vessel dockings and commissioning work at shipyard.
  • Perform work at offshore installations as required.
  • Prepare professional reports from attended jobs.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge in PLC based control systems and/or Hydraulic systems.
  • Automation or instrumentation experience an advantage.
  • Diploma or Nitec in Mechanical/ electrical/ marine engineering or similar.
  • Good command of English both verbally and written.
Requirements
  • Willing to travel overseas and work flexible hours on occasions.
  • Can work both independently and as a team.
  • National service (if applicable) to be completed.
  • Physically fit.
