We are hiring a Desk Side Analyst to join our Information Services team for a 12-month term. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT assets across the organization including hardware and software to ensure accurate tracking, compliance, and optimization. The position supports strategic planning, operational efficiency, and cost control through effective IT asset governance.
The Desk Side Analyst will perform regular physical audits of IT assets in various storage locations to confirm that all equipment is properly tagged and accurately recorded in the asset management system. This includes identifying unregistered or mislabeled items and resolving discrepancies between physical inventory and system records. The role also involves organizing IT storage areas for better accessibility and safety, segregating obsolete or damaged equipment, and maintaining consistent labeling and categorization standards.
Additionally, the analyst will coordinate with vendors or internal teams to manage the secure disposal and decommissioning of IT equipment. This includes ensuring proper data sanitization, adherence to disposal policies, and maintaining documentation for audit and reporting purposes. The successful candidate will also update asset information in the IT Asset Management System (ITAM), generate reports on asset status and audit results, and contribute to improving tracking and documentation processes to ensure ongoing accuracy and efficiency.
Candidates should hold a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least one year of experience in IT asset management or IT operations. Entry-level applicants with relevant training may also be considered. Proficiency with IT Asset Management tools such as ServiceNow, Lansweeper, or SCCM is preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a good understanding of IT hardware, software licensing, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with ITIL practices will be considered an advantage.
