Job Summary

The Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an outstanding dining experience. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
  • Welcome and seat guests in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve meals and drinks promptly and efficiently.
  • Check on guests during meals to ensure satisfaction.
Table Management
  • Prepare tables with clean linens, cutlery, and glassware.
  • Clear tables, remove dishes, and reset for the next guests.
  • Ensure dining area cleanliness and organization at all times.
Food & Beverage Knowledge
  • Understand menu items, ingredients, and cooking methods.
  • Be aware of daily specials, promotions, and allergy information.
  • Upsell additional items such as desserts, extras, or beverages.
Payments & Accuracy
  • Deliver bills, process payments, and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Ensure correct change and receipts are provided.
Teamwork & Coordination
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff regarding orders.
  • Support teammates during busy periods.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and maintain smooth workflow.
Safety & Hygiene
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain personal cleanliness and meet uniform requirements.
