About the Role
OOm is a Premier Google Partner and Meta Business Partner, ranking among the top 3% of Google Partners in Singapore. As we expand across Singapore, the Philippines, China, and Hong Kong, the SEO Team Lead plays a mission‑critical role in driving client success, revenue growth, and team development.
The SEO Team Lead oversees a full team of SEO Account Managers and SEO Associates, ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality work, hits renewal and upsell targets, and upholds OOm’s standards in SEO, GEO, AI-driven search, and client management.
This is a leadership role, ideal for someone who is strong in SEO strategy, communication, coaching, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue, Renewals & Pipeline Ownership
As Team Lead, you are accountable for the full revenue performance of your team:
- Drive renewal targets, revenue retention, and extra revenue growth for all accounts under your team.
- Conduct weekly projection reviews on:
- renewal likelihood
- forecasted closure dates
- expected renewal value
- pipeline health
- Review each AM’s quarterly pipeline and ensure strategies are clearly defined.
- Identify at‑risk accounts early and implement corrective action plans.
- Support renewal meetings, escalations and major QBRs.
2. Leadership, Coaching & People Management
You are the primary leader responsible for:
- Managing the performance of SEO Account Managers and SEO Associates.
- Conducting weekly team coaching sessions covering:
- SEO strategy
- GEO optimisation
- Technical SEO issues
- Client communication
- Handling difficult situations
- Presentation and reporting
- Running monthly 1:1 check‑ins to monitor morale, confidence, workload, and capability gaps.
- Conducting quarterly performance reviews:
- Competency assessment
- KPI review
Growth plans
- Promotion readiness
3. Training & Capability Building
Team Leads are responsible for shaping the technical and strategic strength of their pod:
- Develop and deliver structured training for AMs and Associates.
- Oversee Associate’s progression.
- Train the team in:
- Technical audits
- On‑page optimisation
- Content strategy planning
- AI + GEO optimisation
- Website QA
- Building performance review decks
- Keyword research
- Build SOPs, frameworks, and templates to standardise delivery.
4. Quality Assurance & Strategy Approval
Team Leads maintain the quality of all deliverables:
- Review and approve:
- Technical audits
- SEO & GEO strategy decks
- Keyword research
- Content strategies
- Monthly performance reports
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, data integrity, and client-focused recommendations.
- Maintain quality consistency across different AMs.
- Conduct spot checks to ensure no deliverable is sent out incorrectly.
5. Client Relationship & Escalation Management
Team Leads step in when expertise is needed:
- Support AMs on high-level calls (renewals, escalations, quarterly campaign performance reviews).
- Step into client meetings when:
- Performance concerns arise
- A client becomes unresponsive
- A renewal is high-stakes
- Help AMs manage complex issues such as:
- Technical SEO conflicts
- Platform limitations
- Client expectations
- Strategy misalignment
- Build and maintain senior-level trust with key clients.
6. Product Knowledge, AI & GEO Readiness
Team Leads must be experts in:
- SEO (on-page, off-page, technical)
- GEO optimisation
- Google AI Overview behaviour
- GA4, GSC, Ahrefs
- OOm’s internal SEO & GEO AI tools
- SERP interpretation and algorithm update analysis
You guide the team in applying updated best practices, especially in AI Mode environments.
7. Recruitment & Talent Development
- Participate in interviews for AM and Associate candidates.
- Help evaluate test assignments and cultural fit.
- Create structured training plans for new hires.
- Groom the pipeline of future team leads and senior specialists.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 4–5 years of SEO/digital marketing experience
- Minimum 1–2 years managing or mentoring a team
- Strong technical SEO knowledge
- Strong understanding of generative search and GEO optimisation
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong judgment and decision-making under pressure
- Solid presentation skills with data-driven storytelling
- Highly organised, structured, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills that foster trust and respect
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Wix & More)
