The Cloud Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) team is central to Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation, dedicated to building and maintaining an industry-leading GPU fleet and AI Platform. The team mission is to empower Google Cloud's training and inference customers by providing computational resources. The team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of GPU offerings within Google Cloud, from the initial launch of new GPU families to ensuring their optimal reliability and operational excellence for AI workloads. The team collaborates with internal and external partners to deliver the foundational infrastructure that promotes advancements in artificial intelligence across industries. Responsibilities
  • Execute technical roadmaps for the GPU ecosystem, anticipating market shifts to keep Google Cloud up-to-date in Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new GPU architectures into Google Compute Engine (GCE) for workload availability.
  • Design software solutions meeting the scalability and performance requirements of Google Cloud’s global network. Author and review technical specifications to ensure architectural consistency, code quality, and platform maintainability.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of accelerator solutions, working on performance and stability for user applications.
  • Triage production issues and drive root-cause analysis to implement fixes that enhance system resilience. Serve as a technical advocate during issues, collaborate with customers to resolve tests and translate their feedback into platform enhancements.
