Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and translate them into functional and technical application designs.
  • Provide application support and troubleshooting, ensuring system stability.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into functional and technical application designs.

  • Configure, customize, and integrate enterprise applications to align with business processes.

  • Provide application support and troubleshooting, ensuring system stability and minimal downtime.

  • Conduct user training sessions and prepare comprehensive technical and user documentation.

  • Participate in project planning, implementation, and post-go-live reviews.

  • Assess existing applications and recommend enhancements or replacements to improve efficiency and performance.

  • Ensure applications comply with organizational standards, security policies, and best practices.

  • Act as the primary liaison with vendors and third-party service providers for application-related activities.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and application trends and recommend innovative solutions where applicable.

Required Skills (Technical / Tough Skills)
Application & Enterprise Platforms
  • Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise platform such as SAP, Oracle Applications, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Salesforce.

Programming & Scripting
  • Working knowledge of Java, Python, SQL, or similar programming/scripting languages.

Application Integration
  • Strong understanding of API design, middleware platforms, and integration tools such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Tibco.

Database Management
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle DB.

  • Ability to perform basic data modelling, query optimisation, and performance tuning.

Cloud & Hosting
  • Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including application hosting and cloud-based integrations.

System Design & Architecture
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, SOA, and distributed systems.

Testing & Deployment
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and automation tools such as Jenkins, Selenium, or Appium.

Business Process & Analytics
  • Ability to map application capabilities to business workflows in areas such as finance, supply chain, or CRM.

  • Exposure to data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Application Security
  • Knowledge of SSO, OAuth, SAML, and application security best practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • 5–8 years of experience in application consulting, application support, or system implementation roles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Consultant, SAP Certified Application Associate) are an advantage.
