Your Role as a Senior Social Worker
  • Implement interventions and programmes which address the social, financial, emotional andbehavioural concerns of students and their familymembers, taking into consideration their mental andphysical well-being. This could take the form ofindividual or groupsessions.

  • Work with parents and caregivers, equipping andempowering them through information and educationto build a better relationship with their child and the school.

  • Collaborate with teachers, other allied health professionals and external agencies to create a better environment to support student’s learning.

  • Guide multi-disciplinary teams to implement and evaluate casework and group work and organises strategic community development initiatives, programmes and research.

  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness of group work interventions across the organisation.

  • Lead development of specific programmes targeted at service gaps and service delivery issues.

  • Supervise and mentor social workers, providing support to their professional development.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Requirements
  1. Degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work from recognized educational institutions.

  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.

  3. Accredited as Registered Social Worker with Singapore Association of Social Workers

  4. Passionate about improving the well-being of children with special needs.

  5. Collaborative mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
