Job description
Job Overview

As the Senior Sales Manager, you will lead the sales strategy for large-scale energy storage products (e.g., grid-scale BESS, solar+storage hybrid systems, microgrid storage solutions) in Singapore. You will identify high-potential opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders (grid operators, government agencies, renewable energy developers, commercial/industrial (C&I) enterprises, etc.), and close deals to achieve revenue targets. This role requires deep understanding of Singapore’s energy transition landscape, technical acumen, and a results-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities
1. Market Penetration
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to capture market share in Singapore’s utility-scale, C&I, and microgrid energy storage sectors.
  • Identify and prioritize prospects, including SP Group, Energy Market Authority (EMA) approved licensees, renewable developers, EPC contractors, and large industrial/commercial clients.
  • Leverage existing networks and build partnerships with local industry associations (e.g., Singapore Solar Energy Association) to drive pipeline growth.
2. Client Engagement
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Deliver tailored technical and commercial proposals, emphasizing ROI, regulatory compliance (e.g., EMA guidelines, Carbon Pricing Act alignment, tender requirements), and system performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to design cost-competitive, sustainability-aligned solutions.
3. Market Intelligence
  • Monitor Singapore’s energy policy developments (e.g., Green Plan 2030 initiatives, grid stability regulations), carbon pricing updates, and competitor activity.
  • Provide insights to shape product positioning and pricing strategies for the Singapore market.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work with marketing to create localized campaigns, case studies, and whitepapers aligned with Singapore’s sustainability goals.
  • Support post-sale activities, including project handover to execution teams and client relationship retention.
5. Targets & Reporting
  • Achieve quarterly/annual sales targets for megawatt-hour (MWh) deployments in Singapore.
  • Maintain CRM updates and provide accurate forecasts to senior management.
