Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project budgets, conduct measurements, and liaise with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying and 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in the construction industry. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 6 years of experience in a similar position in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of PSSCOC and/or REDAS and/or SIA standard forms of contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform taking off and measurement of quantities.
  • Source, review, and negotiate quotations.
  • Work closely with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings including site walks for progress claim evaluation.
  • Ensure project budget and cost control; prepare monthly financial reports.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform taking off and measurement of quantities
  • Source, review and negotiation of quotations
  • Work closely and liaise with both internal and external project stakeholders
  • Attend project meetings including site walks for progress claims’ evaluation
  • Project budget and cost control including prepare monthly financial budget report and presentations (For Senior position)
  • Contract administration including handling contractual documentation, correspondences and disputes matters
  • Manage, preparation, submission and liaise with consultants on the evaluation of monthly progress claims / variation claims including final account
  • Manage, evaluate and preparation of subcontractors’ claim and payments including final accounts

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or in related disciplines
  • At least 2 to 6 years of experience in a similar position in construction industry
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered for a senior role
  • Knowledge of PSSCOC and/or REDAS and /or SIA standard forms of Contracts
  • Meticulous, analytical, eye for details and a good team player
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives to work independently
