Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage contracts, monitor costs, and prepare reports. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or related fields, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry, particularly in pre-cast or structural concrete work. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts and subcontracts with main and sub contractors.

• Ensure clarity on scope, specifications, tolerances, and interface responsibilities.

• Manage variation orders, extension of time claims, and contractual notices.

Cost Control & Valuation

• Monitor actual costs against budgets during production and installation phases.

• Prepare interim valuations and progress claims based on production milestones and site installation.

• Maintain accurate cost records and update cash flow forecasts.

Final Accounts & Reporting

• Negotiate and agree on final accounts with suppliers, main and sub contractors.

• Prepare monthly cost reports and attend project review meetings.

• Support project teams with commercial insights and risk mitigation strategies

Job Requirements

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years’ QS experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in pre-cast or structural concrete work.
3. Familiarity with pre-cast production, delivery logistics, and on-site erection processes.
4. Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract
5. Proficient in MS Excel
6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
