Job description

Primary Objectives of Position

The Senior Psychologist provides psychological services within a team, applying a wide array of psychometric assessments and interventions for clients. An independent professional with excellent collaborative, leadership and transdisciplinary skills. S/He provides supervision for junior psychologists, facilitates continuing education, participates in research, conducts trainings and collaborates with other professionals.

Principal Job Responsibilities

  1. The Senior Psychologist will provide holistic psychological services that are caregiver/client-focused to the assigned clientele

  2. Manage, coordinate, and conduct formal and informal psychological assessments independently

  3. Develop clinical formulation and evidence-based, data-driven hypothesis for challenging cases

  4. Formulate, implement and evaluate evidence-based and data-driven programmes or intervention plans in collaboration with teams

  5. Attend and assist with case discussions, placement meetings, and case conference meetings and chair these meetings when necessary

  6. Empower client and caregiver on methods to enhance health and functioning through self-management strategies

  7. Collaborate and provide consultation for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., families, professionals, & agencies including hospitals and preschools) in order to promote clients' development and/or functioning

  8. Participate in continuous professional development to develop specialist psychological skills, new clinical services and conduct continuing professional development activities

  9. Supervise andconduct performance reviews for associate psychologists

  10. Provide supervision to entry-level psychologists, students in Masters and Doctorateprogrammes and interns

  11. Review models of care and service delivery based on evidence-based practices,research and sector trends

  12. Conduct research, data collection and analysis for research

  13. Assist in development of quality improvement projects and implement new psychology services, initiatives and technology based on organisational priorities

  14. Monitor staff adherence to policies and procedures for professional practices

  15. Adhere to professional standards in clinical, legal, ethical, health and safety practices

Other Responsibilities

  1. To work closely with Head of Therapy to meet program’s KPIs

  2. To perform any other duties as directed by the Program Head / Director

Job Specifications

Minimum education / qualifications

  • Master’s in Applied Psychology or equivalent from an accredited university

  • Registered Psychologist with Singapore Psychological Society (SPS)

  • SRP Approved Supervisor with Singapore Psychological Society (SPS)

Minimum years of relevant experience

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience with 2 years of supervisory experience that are approved by SPS
