Associate Director, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales & Marketing – SEA

My clients are a well established company within the Healthcare industry and are looking for a Senior Manager/Associate Director within the Procurement domain. This is a Strategic Procurement and Category Management role, and the person is responsible for leading and managing the procurement team to develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies. This role involves overseeing category sourcing, supplier initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The director will engage with stakeholders to enhance procurement processes, manage vendor relationships, and drive cost savings. Additionally, the role includes organizational planning, human resource management, and fostering team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management:

  • Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies.
  • Oversee category sourcing and supplier initiatives.
  • Provide managerial support for vendor performance and relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct spend analysis.
  • Understanding within the Sustainability domain

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Enhance procurement processes for better service delivery.
  • Promote operational consolidation and cost savings.
  • Mediate disputes between users, buyers, and suppliers.
  • Optimize vendor performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Maintain long-term partnerships with vendors.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Management of Vendor's Performance:

  • Track and monitor vendor performance.
  • Address contract and operational concerns promptly.

Organizational Planning:

  • Develop strategies for future business requirements.
  • Optimize internal resources and collaborate with suppliers.
  • Facilitate succession planning.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration.
  • Graduate Diploma or Masters in Purchasing & Supply Chain is an advantage.
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain management, preferably in healthcare (Pharma or Medical Device).
  • Experience in managing people and organizational functions.
  • Proficiency in SAP MM and eProcurement tools.
