Job summary

A marine engineering company in Singapore is looking for a Purchasing Specialist with a Diploma/Degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include evaluating bids, preparing contracts, and managing vendor obligations. The successful candidate must be a team player, able to multitask, and commit to a two-year contract. Only Singaporeans need apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a purchasing role, specially in O&G or marine industry.
• Able to commit to a two-year contract.
• Willing to work in the northern part of Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing technical and commercial clarification meetings with vendors.
• Evaluate bids according to company requirements.
• Prepare purchase contracts indicating specifications and terms.
• Manage contracts to ensure vendors fulfill obligations.
• Monitor vendor progress on design and engineering.
• Expedite vendor data submissions.
• Resolve discrepancies relating to delivered materials.

Responsibilities

• To the one assisting in organizing technical and commercial clarification meetings with vendor
• Evaluate the best bids according with company's requirements
• Prepare purchase contracts, clearly indicate the specification requirements, terms and conditions
• Manage Purchase Contracts to ensure vendor fulfilling the entire contract obligation
• Monitor post purchase order activities such as vendor's design and engineering progress, manufacturing progress, delivery status
• Expedite vendor data and submission
• Resolve any discrepancy relating to material / equipment delivered
• Participate in auditing subcontractors' facilities when required

Requirements
