About This Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Public Affairs Asia-Pacific to work with other teams at Netflix and external partners to demonstrate the value of our local contributions to policymakers and key opinion leaders in key APAC markets, including Japan, India, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia Some areas of focus include:

  • On the ground, direct support to design and execute strategic initiatives of engagement in close collaboration with Netflix teams in the region and globally. Act as a regional counterpart to APAC Comms, Marketing, Content, and Legal functions to align priorities, goals, and timelines across the region — ensuring collaboration and xfn support for regional and local moments.
  • Drive relationships with influential regional institutions.
  • Work closely with teams to create consistency and clarity across our proactive efforts APAC (such as local contribution programs), while connecting the dots between local and global/broader teams/narratives.
  • Collaborate with our internal Policy Strategy Partners team to coordinate APAC inputs and inform, and drive rollout of global assets and globally significant events.
  • On the ground, direct support in designing and executing strategic engagement initiatives in close collaboration with local teams & PSP. Act as a regional counterpart to APAC Comms, Marketing, Content, and Legal functions to align priorities, goals, and timelines across the region — ensuring collaboration and xfn support for regional and local moments.
Responsibilities
  • Based in Singapore.
  • Lead public affairs efforts across the Asia-Pacific region, advancing Netflix’s strategic goals in close collaboration with local and global business counterparts.
  • Join a solutions‑oriented Global Affairs team that operates as an integral part of the company's business unit.
  • Develop and refine policy narratives in coordination with colleagues at the local, regional, and global levels.
  • Conceptualize and support the execution of memorable "moments" of engagement with key opinion formers.
  • Lead strategic public efforts programs in partnership with Global Affairs teams and internal cross‑functional stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
  • 10–15 years of experience in public affairs, policy, or government relations within a company, government, or trade association.
  • Deep multi‑market experience leading programs across APAC, with a primary focus on Japan, India, and Korea. Experience in Australia, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia is considered helpful.
  • Preferred knowledge of the creative economy, the internet, or technology‑related issues.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizational structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal speaking skills.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and solutions‑oriented.
