Job summary

A premium lifestyle destination resort in Singapore is seeking a Senior Manager, Controls Engineer to oversee the engineering validation and maintenance of amusement rides. The role involves ensuring safety compliance, leading preventive maintenance programs, and implementing operational improvements. Candidates should have a degree in relevant engineering fields and at least 10 years of experience in control systems, with a strong knowledge of PLC systems. This position may require on-site troubleshooting and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Control System Engineering and Fault Analysis, with at least 2 years in managerial capacity.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with the listed PLC Systems.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Controls Engineer role oversees engineering validation, preventive/predictive maintenance, and reliability of amusement rides and show systems. The ideal candidate will be focusing on safety compliance, operational improvement, and leadership in maintenance engineering.

  • Lead the engineering validation and reliability centered maintenance analysis of all amusement rides/show equipment. Supporting a structured Preventive Maintenance program
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Manages the implementation of solutions to improve operational safety and reliability of Ride & Show equipment through improved diagnostics, approved/improved software revisions, technician training, and Preventive Maintenance improvement
  • Perform research and implement solutions for Predictive Maintenance technology to improve operational reliability of Rides
  • Undertake change management within the team and review Service bulletins to evaluate and maintain safety & quality of ride show equipment
  • Understand Amusement ride safety regulations set by Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and be ready to assume responsibility of a BCA approved Ride Manager for the Company.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Computer Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Control System Engineering and Fault Analysis, with at least 2 years in managerial capacity
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with the following PLC Systems: Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC 500 and Siemens S7
Skills
  • Ability to work with diverse group of technical team members
  • Knowledge of Automation Systems
  • Experience with variable frequency drives
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle process/Standard Electrical Schematic Diagrams/Change control process
  • Logical approach to troubleshooting and the ability to perform complex system tests
  • Ability to Work-At-Heights and take the rides as part of defect troubleshooting
  • Able to perform shifts including weekends and public holidays
