About Our Client

Our client is a global high-technology manufacturing organization that designs and delivers mission‑critical power and control solutions used in advanced industrial and semiconductor applications worldwide. Operating a complex, multi‑site manufacturing and supply chain network, the company supports customers with high reliability, precision, and performance requirements. As the business continues to scale and digitalize its operations, it places strong emphasis on operational excellence, data‑driven decision‑making, and forward‑looking capacity and supply chain planning to support long‑term growth.

Job Description
  • Lead global capacity planning across multiple manufacturing sites, supporting both short‑term execution and long‑term (5‑year) strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive capacity plans that align with business objectives for cost, cash, service levels, and growth.
  • Assess existing and future capacity requirements based on demand forecasts, product roadmaps, and new product introductions (NPI).
  • Map and digitize global capacity across equipment, testers, floor space, labor, and warehousing.
  • Create an integrated, and high‑quality view of capacity data to support effective decision‑making.
  • Identify critical constraints and bottlenecks across the manufacturing network and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain capacity models, forecasts, and "what‑if" scenarios using enterprise planning platforms (e.g., SAP IBP / HANA or similar).
  • Balance demand and capacity across business units, product lines, and manufacturing sites.
  • Lead rough‑cut capacity planning, demand flow verification, and category‑level supply planning.
  • Drive manufacturing flexibility by promoting equipment standardization and optimized factory footprint planning.
  • Support network decisions related to make/buy, load balancing, and capacity reallocation.
  • Lead capacity‑ahead‑of‑demand (CAOD) planning and CapEx discussions.
  • Evaluate and justify capacity investments to support changing product and market demands.
  • Partner with leadership to align capacity expansion decisions with financial and operational priorities.
  • Drive healthy inventory management practices and KPIs across the network.
  • Optimize utilization of warehouses and manufacturing assets.
  • Support disposition strategies for aging or excess inventory while maintaining service levels.
  • Own and continuously improve global capacity planning processes and work practices.
  • Implement best practices and leverage digital and Industry 4.0 technologies to improve planning accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Act as the primary subject‑matter expert for capacity planning tools and processes, providing training and support to business units.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, supply chain, sales operations, and product teams to align plans and priorities.
  • Represent supply and demand planning in quarterly business reviews and leadership forums.
  • Communicate capacity plans, risks, and trade‑offs clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Proactively elevate risks related to under‑capacity, over‑capacity, or service shortfalls.
The Successful Applicant
  • At least 8-12 years of experience in capacity planning, supply chain planning, manufacturing operations, or a related analytical role.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor, high‑technology, industrial manufacturing, or complex engineered products is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience building and managing capacity or forecasting models in a multi‑site or global environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise planning tools such as SAP IBP, SAP HANA, SAP ECC, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work confidently with large datasets.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and capacity constraints.
  • Commercial and financial acumen, with a clear understanding of the cost of missed demand and excess capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑changing, ambiguous, and global environment.
What's on Offer

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of global, end-to-end capacity planning in a complex, high‑technology manufacturing environment where decisions directly influence business performance, customer outcomes, and long‑term investment strategy. Candidates will gain strong visibility with senior leadership, work closely with global manufacturing and supply chain teams, and play a key role in shaping digital planning capabilities and future‑ready processes.
