Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced engineer to manage project tasks and responsibilities. Candidates will report to the M&E Manager, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, technical specifications, and quality procedures. The successful candidate must hold a recognized degree in engineering and possess working knowledge in BIM software. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to lead teams across various levels. Opportunities for continuous improvement and cost management responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

  • Minimum a recognized bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/construction engineering or other building-related disciplines.
  • Working knowledge in BIM model software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to lead teams and work across different levels including managing vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the M&E Manager or team leader.
  • Understand ISO requirements, technical drawings and contractual requirements.
  • Submit feedback on programs and execute works according to detailed program.
  • Ensure works are in accordance with approved drawings and quality procedures.
  • Implement quality management practices.
  • Manage cost to control material wastage.
  • Handle ad-hoc matters assigned by the PM.

Job Description & Requirements

To report to the M&E Manager or team leader as shown in the organization chart. He is responsible for the assigned or related project tasks and responsibilities.

  1. The detailed duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  2. Study and fully understand the ISO requirements, technical drawings, scope, contractual requirements, and sub-contract agreements. Work with the consultants to resolve technical issues prior to construction.

  3. Submit to superior for feedback and concurrence on short- or medium-term programs and execute the works according to the detailed program.

  4. Ensure that the works are carried out according to the approved drawings, quality procedures and EHS requirements. Managing the work with excellent housekeeping is a key focus.

  5. For quality management, the engineer is responsible to fully implement with the quality recordings, carry out result analysis and formulate action plans for continuous improvement.

  6. Implement and maintain proper recordings to comply with EHS, quality, client and authorities’ requirements.

  7. Responsible for cost management so that the materials used for both temporary works and permanent works are not damaged or control the wastage within specified tolerance. Rework or abortive work which has serious time and cost impacts shall be avoided.

  8. Ad-hoc matters as assigned by the PM which are necessary for the execution of the project.
