Our client serves as the APAC regional headquarters for a renowned manufacturer of consumer solutions, industrial components, and devices. The regional office oversees subsidiaries across Asia Pacific and provides shared services to drive operational excellence.

They are seeking a Senior IT Manager (SAP Center of Excellence) responsible for leading SAP solution design and implementation, ensuring governance of SAP templates, and driving continuous improvement across the region. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, deep SAP expertise, and the ability to lead a regional team while delivering strategic business outcomes.

This position reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities
  1. SAP Solution Design & Implementation
    • Engage stakeholders to gather business requirements.
    • Transform company needs into comprehensive SAP solution designs.
    • Work with internal teams to create system integration plans.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to implement recommended concepts.
  2. Template Governance
    • Assume overall responsibility for the SAP template.
    • Ensure that changes to the SAP system are reviewed and approved in accordance with established protocols, thereby limiting negative consequences on company operations.
    • Ensure that all COE support activities are conducted efficiently and effectively in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
    • Review and approve the project team's milestones and deliverables (fit/gap analysis, blueprint, functional specifications, configuration, transport requests, data migration plans, cut‑over plans, etc.).
    • Identify opportunities to improve and standardize business processes.
  3. Team Management
    • Oversee Profit Center P&L and budget planning.
    • Motivate and coach team members to promote their growth and development.
    • Oversee resource management and performance appraisals.
    • Manage escalations and job prioritization efficiently.
    • Complete any other ad hoc tasks or duties as given.

Requirement & Preferences
  • Must: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team in a regional capacity within a consulting or SI environment.
  • Strong technical and functional knowledge of SAP within the manufacturing domain.
  • Proven experience in a Solution Architect or Center of Excellence function.
  • 3–5 full‑cycle SAP S/4HANA PCE and GROW implementation experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior management.
  • Proficiency in developing PowerPoint pictorial presentations is required.
  • Willing to travel for business within the Asia Pacific region (up to 30%).
  • Knowledge in field service and/or asset management domains will be an added benefit.
