As a Senior HR Officer/HR Officer, you will be part of a dynamic team to ensure the daily operational duties for Professional Development and employee concerns are managed in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities
Staff Training Administration & Compliance

Ensure the smooth execution of staff training initiatives in line with training policies and guidelines, supporting timely access to learning opportunities, accurate budget tracking, and effective onboarding and internal training delivery.

  • Assist with the registration of staff for approved training programmes in accordance with internal guidelines and funding provisions
  • Track and monitor training applications, approvals, and completion status in Beacon
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance and completion certificates for audit and reporting purposes
Budget and Financial Tracking
  • Monitor professional development budget utilization at individual and department levels and flag potential overspending or funding constraints
  • Work closely with the School Staff Developer (SSD) in budget planning and training fund allocation
  • Process training-related invoices and liaise with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payment
Digital Learning Systems
  • Manage staff access to OPAL 2.0, including registration, account activation and timely deactivation due to staff exit or role changes
  • Provide first-line support to staff encountering issues with OPAL 2.0 access or course enrolment
Training Needs & Program Curation
  • Coordinate with HR and organize staff induction workshops for new hires, ensuring alignment with institutional values and operational knowledge
  • Support the assessment of training and development needs across departments in consultation with HRD and Heads of Department for EAS
  • Curate and recommend appropriate learning interventions, including workshops, courses, and blended learning solutions aligned with school priorities
  • Source and evaluate external training providers and facilitators, ensuring relevance, quality and cost effectiveness
  • Assist in coordinating internal training courses, including logistics, registration and post-training evaluations
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Gather feedback and review training outcomes to assess effectiveness and relevance to school needs.
  • Track participation and engagement data to identify learning gaps and inform future training focus areas.
  • Support data-based recommendations by relating training insights to emerging competency needs and the school’s strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to the refinement of the learning framework and training roadmap through regular review and improvement.
HR Operations
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including coordination with hiring managers, interview scheduling, and related administrative arrangements
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of employment contracts, issuance of onboarding documents, exit clearance procedures and termination of staff pass access.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries, such as insurance claims, reimbursements, and general HR matters, and provide guidance in accordance with HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain digital personal files (P-files) to ensure proper documentation, audit readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Manage staff pass administration, including creation, issuance, tracking and termination of staff passes as well as ordering of name stamps and name cards
  • Support the maintenance of school systems and platforms such as iExams, School Cockpit and other HR-related systems
  • Assist with ad-hoc HR projects or process improvement initiatives, including digitisation of records, data clean-up exercises and system migration efforts as assigned
  • Demonstrate teamwork by supporting cross-coverage and backup arrangements to ensure continuity of HR Operations.
Job Requirements
  • Relevant Degree/Diploma in HR or any other related disciplines
  • At least 2 years of relevant HR/Admin experience
  • Experience working in a school environment is preferred but not necessary
  • Knowledge of Singapore Employment Act and HR-related government regulatory act
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and adaptable with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
